traditional, mstone-built houses of the old village, lying among them,

Limassol tavern with a guitar, bouzouki, accordion or piano. The hosts
can tell you everything about it.
History of the village Apsiou
is one of the villages of the "Grande Commandarie"; region that
produces the unique for its taste sweet wine "commandaria" from the
crusaders' times.
The name of Apsiou comes from the ancient
miners that came from Naxos (Greek island), thus they were "Naxiotes"
"Apsiotes", "Apsiou". This has a point because in the region of Apsiou
is observed a great variety of types of rocks (copper-pyrite,
iron-pyrit, special soil and clay for tiles, bricks, pottery). |
